1) Update to the latest firmware (available on Samsung website). Model you select is irrelevant as while they're called different files, they are actually all the same. My firmware is now “2.45 CN” - CN being China, EU being Europe and US being US.

2) In device manager select the “USB Mass Storage Adapter” and find the DeviceID (on the last tab of the properties page). It should be something like USB\VID_04E8&PID_5041

3) Open the file c:\WINDOWS\inf\wpdmtp.inf

4) Alter the two lines beginning %GenericMTP.DeviceDesc% to the value found in step 2

Code: %GenericMTP.DeviceDesc%=mtp,USB\VID_04E8&PID_5041

5) Save the file as “SAMSUNGZ5.inf” somewhere you remember

6) Right click the “USB Mass Storage” in Device Manager and click “Update Driver”.

7) “Install from a specific location”

8) “Include this location” .. select the location you saved the INF file

9) You should get two options - USB Mass Stoage and MTP Device - select MTP Device

10) You'll get prompted the driver isn't digitally signed, that's fine - it's just the genuine MTP Driver.

11) You should now get a “Found New Device” balloon pop up detecting an “MTP Device”

12) If you get a “failed to start” error you should find it has actually started anyway.

13) Your Samsung Z5 should now be listed in Device Manager under “Portable Devices”

14) You should now be able to use Play4Sure.
